The virtual event features Dr. Filippo Bonini Baraldi (Universidade Nova de Lisboa), who will be speaking on "Behind the scenes of research: Navigating interdisciplinary pathways.”

Abstract

"In this talk, I will describe how, in a recent project, I have attempted to bring together different scientific perspectives, but also to address activist and political concerns, such as the right to play music in public spaces and the critique of overtourism and real-estate speculation. I will suggest that interdisciplinary, creative and collective research-action are key strategies for surviving in an academic world dominated by competition, hierarchy and disciplinary divides.”
